Alicia Brooks Christy

Alicia Brooks Christy is an AOA graduate of Northwestern University School of Medicine, and received a M.S. degree from Duke University. Prior to joining the National Institutes of Health, she was chairman of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. She retired from the Army after 22 years of service. She is currently the Deputy Director of Reproductive Health with the Veterans Health Administration. She holds the rank of Professor at the Uniformed Services University and is an adjunct professor at Howard University. She is also a volunteer physician at Walter Reed Military Medical Center and a watercolor artist. Her artwork will be featured on the cover of “Academic Medicine” in October 2018.
