Stephanie Davis ’86

Stephanie Davis is a Senior Client Partner at Korn Ferry, where she is a member of the Global Technology Practice and Board & CEO practices. Davis also leads the Private Equity practice for North America Technology Markets.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Davis was with a leading global executive search firm for over 17 years where she founded the Business/Technology Services practice; led the Software practice; and managed global PE relationships. She has successfully completed hundreds of CEO, CFO, Board and other C-level searches for public, private and PE-backed companies. With more than two decades of advisory and leadership experience, Davis is adept at working with boards and investors to navigate the challenges of CEO transitions for F1000, private and PE–backed companies. Her technology expertise includes software, business services, information services, big data, tech-enabled services, SaaS, fintech, media and online B2B services.

During her industry career, she acquired industry and functional expertise in software, strategy, general management and finance: she was a General Manager driving the international growth of a PE-backed educational software company; a strategy consultant at McKinsey; and had an early career in corporate finance and capital markets at Prudential Investment Corp and as an engineer at General Motors.

Davis earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Science in Engineering, cum laude, from Princeton University. She is a national trustee for The Boys & Girls Clubs of America; a member of the Women Corporate Directors organization; a trustee and governance chair for The Buckley School; and an advisory board member to a private equity firm. Davis is a frequent speaker on board governance and women in the boardroom.
