Ciara Burnham ’88

Ciara Burnham is a senior managing director with Evercore with over 20 years of leadership experience in investment banking and investment management. Burnham joined Evercore shortly after its inception, and has played a significant role in the build-out of the firm’s presence on a global basis. Burnham has worked broadly across the firm’s businesses, with roles including CEO of Evercore Trust, a nationally chartered bank with over $50 billion of assets, head of Strategy and Corporate Development, private equity investing, and investment banking advisory. Burnham has served on the boards of directors of a number of private equity portfolio companies and several public companies. Earlier in her career, she was an equity analyst with Sanford C. Bernstein and a consultant with McKinsey. During 2018, she will be in residence at Stanford University as a Fellow in the Distinguished Careers Institute.     Burnham serves as a trustee of the nonprofit Education Development Center and of Pilobolus, an internationally recognized modern dance company. She is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council of Princeton University and the New York Women’s Forum.  Also a graduate of Columbia Business School, Burnham lives in New York City and is the proud parent of two sons, Russell and Alex.
