Uchechi Kalu ’14

Uchechi Kalu is a singer, writer, and actress who recently returned to the United States after living in Beijing, China for four meaningful years. She earned a degree in Near Eastern Studies with a certificate in Arabic Language and Culture, and was an active member of Theatre Intime and the Princeton Jazz Ensemble. She’s currently in the process of moving into New York City, and is working on creative projects that explore her experiences as a black woman traversing life in America, Asia, and the Middle East. Alongside her creative pursuits, Uchechi is a private yoga instructor and specializes in helping women in the corporate world live and work with deeper meaning and purpose. Uchechi is also a university application consultant. She helps dozens of clients seeking graduate and undergraduate degrees make their applications stand out and get noticed.

Women in the Arts Showcase

Thursday, October 4

Please join us for the Opening Reception and Women in the Arts Showcase to hear from a select group of alumni artists and student groups, and participate in interactive/collaborative creative activities. The Opening Reception will kick off in the New South tent at 6:30 p.m., followed by various performances, displays, and activities in the tent and the Lewis Arts complex beginning at 7:30 p.m. There will also be work by visual artists on display throughout the weekend at Maclean House.
