Louise Sams is EVP and General Counsel for Turner, a global media company with brands such as CNN, TNT and Cartoon Network. In this capacity, she oversees the company’s legal matters worldwide, with a staff of 110 lawyers located around the globe. Sams joined Turner in 1993 from White & Case in New York. From 2003 to 2012, Sams held dual executive roles at Turner – in addition to her legal responsibilities, she was president of Turner’s international business. Sams earned a BA at Princeton, graduating magna cum laude, and a juris doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. At Princeton, Sams is a member of the Board of Trustees, a member of the PVC board, a member of the Art Museum Advisory Board, and a former chair of Annual Giving. Sams also serves on the boards of directors of the High Museum of Art, the Woodruff Arts Center, Meals on Wheels Atlanta, and Team Novo Nordisk – a global all diabetes cycling team.
