Kathryn (Kit) Levy Feldman ’78

Kathryn (Kit) Levy Feldman is an award-winning freelance writer with more than 25 years of experience writing for such publications as Family Business magazine, Princeton Alumni Weekly, The Pennsylvania Gazette, Dartmouth Alumni Magazine and Haverford College Alumni Magazine. She has authored seven books (six for Heritage Publishers) including the 2011 cookbook, “The Culinary Canine: 30 Chefs Cook for Their Dogs and So Can You!” for Bowtie Press, now an imprint of Lumina Media. In addition to a five-city book tour, The Culinary Canine and its chefs were featured on The Martha Stewart Show, Fox and Friends and Sirius radio. Levy Feldman has become known for her profiles of individuals as well as animals and interviewed such personalities as the late Joan Rivers, Dr. Andrew Weill, Laura Schlessinger, Susie Orman, Kenneth Cole, among others. Levy Feldman covered the horse Barbaro (Kentucky Derby winner who broke his leg) for the University of Pennsylvania, where he was hospitalized.

In addition to her freelance career, Levy Feldman is currently editing a text book on family business governance with a consultant based at the Kellogg School of Business. She resides in Bryn Mawr, Pa. with her two therapy golden retrievers who work with autistic children as part of the organization Nellie’s Schoolhouse. The dogs are also the official therapy dogs of Haverford College.

After Princeton, Levy Feldman earned a Master’s Degree in Liberal Studies from the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 with a certificate in animal studies.
