Jennifer Rexford ’91

Jennifer Rexford

Jennifer Rexford received her Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Michigan in 1996. After eight years working at AT&T Labs Research, Rexford joined the computer science faculty at Princeton in 2005 and became chair of the department in 2015. Her research focuses on computer networking, with the broad goal of making future networks easier to design and manage. She also served on the Federal Communications Commission Open Internet Advisory Committee and co-ran the FCC working group on secure Internet routing. She is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
