Jane Shidler ’96 is currently Chair of the Princeton Schools Committee, Chair of the Princeton Women’s Network of Northern New Jersey, a member of the ad hoc Alumnae Initiatives Committee, a member of the leadership team of the Princeton Alumni Ā Association of Essex and Hudson Counties (PAAEHs), and a committee member of the Princeton Prize in Race Relations of Northern New Jersey. She has served on the PSC both as coordinator of International Telethons as well as PSC mentor and has been the co-chair of the Manhattan and Staten Island ASC since 2011. While at Princeton, Jane majored in Romance Languages and Literatures and participated in the Program in Musical Performance. She was a soloist with and member of the Glee Club and the Katzenjammers and was the student chair of the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures. After graduation, she taught French and Spanish at Princeton High School as part of Princeton’s Teacher Preparation Program. A soprano, she subsequently became a member of the Jerome Hines Opera Music Theater International as well as the New York City Opera main stage and national companies. Happily married to Ken for almost fifteen years, she is the mother of Evan, 13, and Olivia, 9, and she teaches French, Spanish and Italian to private students.
