Jackie Garrett is a board certified allergist and immunologist with a focus on pediatric allergy. She has authored and co-authored several scientific papers for recognized medical journals in the field of allergy and immunology. She has also authored chapters on food allergy for the use of other physicians. Garrett believes that empowering patients with information is key to improving health care outcomes and patient care.
With her husband, a fellow ’01 graduate, and their three extraordinary children, Garrett is acutely familiar with the challenge of balancing the role of mother, wife and professional.
The second edition of her book “Does My Child Have a Food Allergy?” is meant to serve as a pocket guide for all caregivers. It contains information on the most common symptoms of food allergies.
